NRL immortal and NSW legend Andrew Johns spat the dummy live on air after his former side lost the State Of Origin decider on Wednesday night.

On the panel following the Blues’ 22-12 loss to the Maroons at Suncorp Stadium in front of the Queensland faithful, a clearly frustrated Johns wanted no part in the post-game discussions.

Standing alongside Queensland legends Cameron Smith and Paul Vautin, Johns gave little response to host James Bracey’s questions as part of the Channel 9 coverage.

When asked by Bracey “Where did that (the biff) come from?”, Johns had little response other than “Well, it’s no tomorrow.”

As cheering Queensland fans could be heard in the distance Bracey asked “It was a hard watch out there for you tonight wasn’t it?”, for Johns to reply with a simple “Yep. It means so much.”

Things escalated when a clearly annoyed Johns had to reply to Vautin’s question of where things went wrong for his former side, with Johns replying bluntly “Why? Well, you won the big moments. Now we have to listen to all the bulls*** from you (Queenslanders) in the next 12 months. It drives you mad.”

It left a stunned Smith, who was standing next to Johns, speechless and looking awkward as an angry Johns then looked off into the distance.

Johns received plenty of criticism for his responses, with many calling him salty for the way he acted.

The awkward TV segment ended what was a massive night for the game, which was highlighted by excellent play as well as a number of punch-ons.
