Mana 1 breathed new life into the Eastern Goldfields Netball Association’s division one premiership race after they upset Steelers 1 for their first win of the season last weekend.

Steelers 1 headed into the clash with a division-leading six wins, but Mana 1 capped off a stellar performance 52-46 to end their opposition’s six-game winning streak.

It was a much-needed confidence-booster for Mana 1, who face another stern test this Friday night against second-placed Imperials 1.

Despite last weekend’s defeat, Steelers 1 retained a two-game lead in the standings over Imperials 1, who were upset by Rookies 1, 69-44.
