Albany's streets will host Australia's largest charity motoring adventure from August 9 to 10.

The 2015 Dick Smith Variety Bash with more than 100 vintage vehicles will drive through Albany as part of their Bass Hill to Bunbury through the Nullarbor 10-day voyage.

The Variety Bash raises money to support different projects and charities for Australian children and will be making a $5000 donation to Spencer Park Primary School for sporting equipment, library books and to support the special education program.

Organiser Stuart Telfer said he's been part of the bash for the past 26 out of the 30 years it's been running.

"The Variety Bash is a travelling circus … that is just good old Australians and young Australians, too," he said.

Last year, the bash raised more than $2.2 million which assisted thousands of Australian children who are sick or disadvantaged and Mr Telfer said they hoped to raise the same amount or more this year.

He said people interested in joining just have to fundraise at least $8500 and find a pre-1976 vehicle to drive.

"Thank you to all the community and towns that we visit for allowing us to come into the towns with our circus … they all give us great support because they all know what a wonderful cause it is," he said. "The underlying thing is to help children and Australia's special needs children and that's the whole goal."
