Prized recruit Courtney Robinson has capped a stellar debut season in the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association by winning her first women's A-grade fairest and best award on Saturday night.

Robinson came to Manypeaks this season from the Upper Great Southern Hockey Association, where she won the women's A-grade fairest and best last year.

The talented centre half was the dominant player in the women's A-grade competition this season and failed to poll votes in only one of her 14 games.

Robinson finished a clear winner of the award with 27 votes to defeat dual former winner and teammate Renae Parsons on 18.

Tigers pair Georgina Lilford and Georgie Powis were the next best with 16 votes and Spencer Park captain Emma Benson rounded out the top five on 12.

Last year's winner Annie Judd polled just two votes despite another terrific regular season.

Robinson received best afield honours in four matches to go with six two-vote performances and three single-vote games.

Meanwhile, Peaks star Chris Metcalfe was named the LGSHA men's A-grade fairest and best winner in another runaway count.

Metcalfe, who has been sensational for Peaks in midfield this season, polled 27 votes in 13 games to finish well clear of joint runners-up Henry Marsh from Park and Tigers' Robert Stan-Bishop on 13 apiece.

Peaks' David Pyle (11 votes) and Tigers' Neil Ferreira (10) rounded out the top five.

In the women's B-grade, Park duo Jess Ross and Megan Baker tied for the fairest and best award while Simon Whitford, also from Park, was named the fairest and best men's B-grade player.
