Icehouse ready to rock

Jessica Cuthbert, ALBANY ADVERTISERAlbany Advertiser

For more than 30 years, Icehouse has continued to treat millions with their music, and will delight audiences in Denmark in their upcoming show early next year.

The band recently released their first live album, Icehouse In Concert, a collection from shows they played in late-2014 and early this year.

Front man Iva Davis and members of the band are excited to be performing in the region since their last Western Australian tour in 1991.

Icehouse, a rock band, is set apart by the use of multiple layers of keyboards, with Davis often described as the godfather of Australian electronic music.

"Icehouse emerged during the punk era spearheaded by the Sex Pistols and had at its core hard guitar, bass, and drums not unlike many Australian rock bands of the time," Davis said.

"However, the addition of keyboards set the band apart from the general formula of the punk band of that period.

"A band with the experience over time that this one has will always produce a good show, and we are very proud of the quality of performance we can produce."
