Members of the elite Tactical Response Group, Police Canine Unit and Albany Detectives executed search warrants at two properties in Perillup and Rocky Gully, resulting in the arrest of a 45-year-old and 59-year-old man.
Both were remanded in custody after being charged with alleged conspiracy to cultivate cannabis with intent to sell and supply and a string of other drug possession offences.
The elder man will also face charges relating to firearm possession offences.
Detective Constable Chelsea Martin said the cannabis seized had an expected street value in excess of $100,000.
“The amount of cannabis uncovered is almost five times the amount considered the minimum for a trafficking offence,” she said.
The co-accused are expected to appear in Albany Magistrate’s Court next Thursday.
Police also seized $11,200 in cash from one of the properties and are continuing investigations into several other men present in one of the houses, including a French national and three from interstate.
