An Albany florist will carefully arrange the wreaths set to be laid by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key as part of the Anzac centenary commemorations.

Hot House Flowers will make 42 wreaths, 32 of them for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to use in the commemorative service at Anzac Peace Park on Saturday.

Florist Cath Pegrum said they started making the wreaths on Tuesday and are set to finish late tomorrow.

“There are 32 for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs which apparently include the Prime Minister, as well as the Prime Minister of New Zealand,” she said.

“There is a lot of work, they all have a wreath base we have to green up and each one takes about an hour to make.

“Every single one will be different, the two Prime Minister ones will be the big ones.”

Ms Pegrum said they had gum nuts and hakeas from the Porongurups as well as flowers from “all over the world” including Mauritius, Kenya, Singapore and Malaysia.
