That’s rich! Liam’s dig at Noel over gig prices as millions battle to score Oasis tickets in UK

Liam Gallagher once criticised his brother Noel for pricing concert tickets for one of his solo shows at $545.

But that remark appears to have come back to bite him after the singer’s fans pointed out that the price is considerably less than the cost of seeing him and his sibling perform as Oasis.

In a social media post from 2017, during the Gallagher brothers’ long-running feud, Liam declared $US350 (about $545) to go and see rkid in the USA, “what a c*** when will it all stop as you were LG x”.

Fans said the post didn’t sit well with controversy over the ‘dynamic pricing’ of Oasis reunion tickets by Ticketmaster, which meant some have paid double the advertised price.

Some 14 million across the UK have battled to get their hands on the coveted tickets.

For the Manchester shows, a general admission standing ticket was expected to cost around $295 but that price had risen to $695 under the dynamic pricing policy that reflects increased demand.

Oasis fans accused Liam of hypocrisy for the 2017 post. One wrote: “This hasn’t aged well...”

At least 450 individuals have submitted official complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority about dynamic pricing.

Ticketmaster claims prices are set by the event organiser, and it has been claimed that Oasis could have rejected the pricing model.
