Nick Kyrgios did not mince his words as the firebrand Aussie launched an expletive-riddled attack towards Tony Jones over his Novak Djokovic comments.

Jones has been the centre of attention at Melbourne Park with his labelling of Djokovic as a “has-been” and “overrated” landing the Channel Nine presenter in hot water.

Both Jones and Channel Nine have since issued apologies after Djokovic refused to conduct pots-match media but it has done little to calm tensions.

In a statement released by Tennis Australia, Djokovic is said to have acknowledged the apology.

“Novak acknowledges the apology has been given in public as requested, and is now moving on and focusing on his next match,” it said.

Kyrgios took to Facebook to share a video from Melbourne Park to make some pointed remarks at Jones.

“How the f*** does this guy still have a f***ing job? It is putrid stuff,” he said.

“Tony Jones, you absolute flop. F***ing Chompers mate.”

Kyrgios had already called out Jones on Instagram earlier after sharing a video of Jones’ comments.

“Coming from this clown – couldn’t run around a park this bloke.”

It comes as Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese weighed in on the controversy.

“We need more kindness and generosity and respect. Just across the board. I think that’s what people are looking for,” he told ABC radio.

Jones had already been under fire earlier this week for labelling American Danielle Collins a “brat” after her post-match antics after defeating Australian Destanee Aiava.
