India captain Rohit Sharma isn’t hitting the panic button.

Sharma insists he’s not overly worried by his team’s 10-wicket loss to Australia in the second Test.

But he admits the shellacking will prompt some Indian introspection before the third Test starts in Brisbane on Saturday.

“It’s important in this short time that we have before this next Test match just to figure out certain things with our own selves,” Sharma said.

“It’s still one-all. There’s still plenty of things left in this series still and there’s definitely a way for us to get back.

“We need to find that within ourselves, how we need to do that.”

Australia lost the first Test by 295 runs but responded in style and Sharma is adamant his team can do likewise after their Adelaide failure.

“There are a lot of individuals in that dressing room who have played a lot of cricket, won a lot of games, have come back from difficult situations in the past,” he said.

“So we hope everyone stands up to that challenge.”

The tourists have been bowled out cheaply in three or their four innings this tour, with the outlier being their 6(dec)-487 in the second innings in the Perth series opener.

That imposing score came after they were rolled for 150 in the first dig. The visitors mustered paltry totals of 180 and 175 in Adelaide.

But Sharma said he wasn’t going to dwell on the meagre batting returns.

“I wouldn’t say ‘worry’,” he said.

“I am not going to look too much into this game and start worrying about little things.

“Sometimes ... it just doesn’t happen.

“I focus now on how we can come out on top in Brisbane.”
