Albany motocross young guns Corben Weinert and Kylan Black triumphed with overall division wins after the final round of the South West Interclub Series last week.

Both riders headed into the sixth round looking to secure podium finishes and did so to round out the series by winning their divisions comfortably.

Weinert, who last month clinched third at the Australian Junior Motocross Championships at Bunbury's Shrubland Park, rounded out the interclub series with a win in the final round at Manjimup's Cosy Creek circuit by 13 points over Bunbury's Brad Gilmore and Denmark's Sam Baxter, both on 92 points.

The win capped off the series for the teenager, who finished on 602 overall points, 94 points clear of Baxter (508).

Weinert's consistent series earned him junior champion rider status with the most points, while also finishing third overall in the junior lites 125cc.

Black also enjoyed a stand-out series, clinching the 250F/125cc two-stroke title in convincing fashion by 145 points ahead of his nearest rival, Manjimup's Taj Barnsby, despite finishing second in the final round.

The final 99 points secured Black fifth place in the junior champion rider standings for the season.

Fellow Albany youngster Ryder Smith won the final round of the junior lites with 105 points ahead of Collie's Cooper Shepherd (96) and Weinert (90), while Denmark duo Baxter (418) and Luke Porter (400), finished second and third overall respectively for the 125cc two-stroke standings.
