A bushwalker has been winched to safety by the RAC Rescue helicopter after she was injured on a trail in the Perth Hills.

The woman in her 50s suffered minor injuries at the Roley Pool Reserve Trail in Roleystone on Sunday afternoon.

An ambulance was called at 12:49pm but was unable to reach the bushwalker. She was extracted by the RAC Rescue helicopter at 2:45pm.

“Because of where the patient was, they had to use a helicopter to get her out,” a St John Ambulance spokesperson said.

Career and volunteer firefighters and State Emergency Service volunteers helped on the scene.
