A 71-year-old man who disappeared in a remote area of the Mid-West has been found safe and well.

A desperate search was underway for 71-year-old Brian Miles after he disappeared after getting bogged on a dirt track north of Murchison, near Byro Station.

Mr Miles was travelling in a vehicle with another man on Tuesday afternoon when they ran into trouble.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to locate 71-year-old Brian MILES, who is missing in a remote area north of Murchison, near Byro Station. Serious concerns are held for his welfare. The second man left on foot towards Byro Station to seek help, but when he returned to the car on Wednesday morning, Mr Miles was gone.

However, WA Police on Thursday morning confirmed Mr Miles has been found safe and well, south of Byro Station.
