Albany surfer Tony Harrison has his eye on a national longboard crown after winning the over-65 men's State title at the third and final round of the WA Longboard and Stand-Up Paddleboard Titles in Mandurah last weekend.

Harrison won the first two rounds in Yallingup and Denmark and, despite finishing second at Avalon on the weekend to Dunsborough's Mick Marlin, he still captured his first over-65 men's State title by 280 points.

The 66-year-old said he was thrilled to win a State title and earn his place in the WA team for the national championships.

"I didn't win it last year but it was second time lucky," he said.

"I'm stoked (to win) really and I'm really looking forward to going to Coffs Harbour for the nationals."

The 66-year-old also competed in the over-60 men's division, where he failed to make the final and finished fourth overall in the State title race.

Harrison will be part of the WA team that will compete at the national longboard titles in New South Wales in August.

Star Denmark surfer Emi Campbell is also part of the WA team after being crowned the under-18 girls State champion back in round 2.

Fellow Denmark competitor Gidget Neunuebel made the under-18 girls final on the weekend, where she finished third with 15.55 points, and she also made the open women's final to eventually finish fifth.

Chelsea Bedford from Walpole finished fourth in the under-18 girls final, scoring 15.45 points in a highly competitive division.

Denmark's Mike Neunuebel has also made the WA team after finishing runner-up in both the legends over-50s and kahunas over-55s overall State titles - he was third in the over-55s final on the weekend.
