Human Nature star on brilliant reunion with bandmates

“This is my third Telethon in a row, but the last few years I‘ve been on my own — this time I brought my posse, which is just brilliant,” Phil Burton said.

“Telethon is just so special, it really is, isn’t it? You just keep thinking, how much bigger can this get? And it keeps getting bigger and bigger, and deservedly so, because it’s honestly so great.

Burton told reporter Clare Rigden that hearing from the little Telethon stars at Saturday’s breakfast was so emotional.

“It was so emotional. There were wet eyes and sniffles all around.

“Telethon, it really does just pull everyone together. That’s what Telethon means to me: togetherness, and what people can do when they come together and focus on a common goal.”

Burton said his 10-year-old and 16-year-old kids would be watching all the fun on 7Plus.
