Alex Ezekiel Coombe: Bunbury detectives looking for 21-year-old as part of Collie shooting investigations

Detectives are on the hunt for a 21-year-old man, who is possibly armed with a gun, as investigations continue into a shooting in Collie.

Police are searching for Alex Ezekiel Coombe after a man in his 30s presented to Collie Hospital with gun wounds to both of his hands on Sunday.

Police were called around 8.15am over reports a man had been shot on Clifton Street in the South West town.

Mr Coombe’s 34-year-old brother, Joseph James Horohau Coombe, was located by police in the Eaton area on Monday before he was taken into custody over the incident.

The West understands police have not located a firearm believed to have caused the man’s injuries as the hunt for his younger Coombe brother continues.

Mr Coombe, 21, is described as being 176cm tall, of medium build, with brown hair, and brown eyes.

The public is warned he may have a firearm and should not be approached. Any sightings of Mr Coombe should be reported to Police immediately on 131 444.

WA Police have also released photos of a black Holden Caprice sedan which may be related to the incident. Anyone who saw the Holden on Saturday evening or in the early hours of Sunday morning are urged to contact police.

Police believe the people involved are known to each other.
