Unusual rescue at Cott Beach

As emergency services respond to people needing help amid the wild weather.

Firefighters were called to a rather unusual rescue at Cottesloe Beach.

Ryan Stolberg was in Perth for a holiday when he decided to fly his drone to film the iconic Cottesloe Teahouse and beach.

However, it all went wrong when he crashed his drone at the top of a pine tree.

After his friend talked him out of climbing the tree in the stormy weather, Mr Stolberg opted to call the local firefighters to see if they could help.

Ten minutes later, two fire trucks and a ranger arrived to help get the drone down.

Sadly, the drone could not be retrieved.
