Hampers to spread somefestive cheer

Albany and Denmark high school students gathered to lend a hand and organise Christmas hampers for people in need recently.

Colby Law, Ajia Crosby, Jim Duncan, Nate Law and Owen Emery volunteered their time to Pivot Support Services to organise Christmas hampers for more than 30 families who are either homeless or experiencing hardship during the festive period.

The hampers include Christmas treats, food and personal hygiene products, as well as gifts for children in each household.

These gifts will be given to families all around the Great Southern region including Albany, Katanning and Hopetoun.

Pivot Support Services case manager Sarah Law said she would like to thank local businesses such as Max Employment, Lotterywest and Grande Food for all their generous donations and making the event possible.
