Tragedy as three-year-old baby killed in Pilbara after car rollover in De Grey near Port Hedland

Horrific scenes have played out after a major crash in the Pilbara that left a three-year-old toddler dead.

Major crash investigation officers are investigating the fatal rollover that happened in De Grey, between Port Hedland and Pardoo, about 10.50pm on Wednesday.

The tragedy unfolded when a maroon-coloured Holden Captiva travelling on an access road near Great Northern Highway rolled, severely injuring the girl.

She could not be saved and died at the scene.

Five adults — three females and two males — received minor injuries.

Officers are examining the scene and the circumstances surrounding the crash.
