Sonix 1 continue solid winning run against EGNA leaders
Sonix 1 are making a strong pitch for the Eastern Goldfields Netball Association’s division 1 minor premiership after they last weekend recorded a decisive win against first-placed Steelers 1.
Steelers 1 went into the clash boasting a two-game lead in the standings but lowered their colours by 19 goals, 47-26.
It continued an impressive run for Sonix 1, who have enjoyed three consecutive wins following back-to-back losses in rounds 7 and 8.
Steelers 1 remain in first place, but the past four games have produced two wins by a goal apiece and two defeats.
Also last weekend, Rookies 1 beat Mana 1, 73-35.
The second-last round of division 1 qualifiers will be played on Friday night when Sonix 1 oppose Imperials 1 at 6pm and Steelers 1 clash with Rookies 1 at 7.30pm.
Third-placed Imperials 1 resume from a bye trailing Sonix 1 by just a game in pursuit of a top-two finish that carries a double-chance in the finals.
