Norths, Two Blues leading the way ahead of B-grade resumption
Fixtures in the Eastern Goldfields Cricket Association’s B-grade competition resume on February 1 with North Kalgoorlie and Great Boulder locked in a keen battle for outright first place.
Both teams have 5-3 win-loss records, with Norths leading the way by percentage.
Great Boulder, however, hold a 2-1 advantage in head-to head matches this season with the teams due to meet again in round 11 on February 8.
A similar battle ensues for outright third place, with Hannans holding down that spot by percentage over Lake View.
Both teams have three wins.
Hannans’ Shane Donnellan leads the competition for batting with 276 runs at 34.50 from Norths’ Fletcher Edwards (172 runs at 86.00) and Lake View’s Jarrod Lucas (163 runs at 20.38).
Donnellan’s teammate Anthony Babic leads all bowlers with 14 wickets at 13.86 from Great Boulder’s Nathan Weir (13 wickets at 15.77) and Hannans’ Bryce Lintern (12 wickets at 20.42).
Lake View play Great Boulder and Hannans oppose Norths when matches resume.
