North Kalgoorlie lead the Eastern Goldfields Cricket Association’s B-grade standings after they needed just 15 overs last Saturday to overhaul Lake View’s total in a 10-wicket victory.

Openers Fletcher Edwards (49 not out) and Caleb Smart (11 not out) led Norths, who grabbed a second win in three matches.

Edwards’ knock featured eight boundaries and came off 47 balls at a strike rate of 104.25.

Norths’ Scott Nelson earlier took 3-10, backed by two wickets each to Callum Grace and Jordan Delbridge, when Lake View were bowled out for 64 in 23.4 overs after winning the toss.

But it quickly backfired as they slumped to 4-21, with Shaun Marx the leading batter with 14 runs off 21 balls.
