Franchise are the only team without a draw in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association men’s division one competition after last week’s sixth round produced another tied game.

CBC on Friday night were in the box seat to record a fifth win at the expense of last-placed Olympians, but it ended with the scores level at 78-78.

It was the second draw for both teams and the third consecutive week that a clash had failed to produce a definitive result.

CBC are four points clear in the standings over Saints, but have drawn their past two matches.

Olympians battled to a 74-74 draw against Saints in round four and an identical score line played out in round five when CBC and Saints couldn’t be separated at full-time.

It left Olympians fourth on the ladder, albeit on percentage over Franchise who also have 10 points but have one more win.

Olympians led at half-time last weekend by seven points.

But they were unable to maintain the effort as CBC controlled play in the second half, 44-37.

Jarrod Donaldson racked up an equal game-high 27 points for the red-and-whites, but it was matched in the opposition camp by Miles Tierney.

But the Collegians countered through Sam Morrow, Nathan Vince and Sam Julitz who combined for 46 points.

The round opened on Thursday night when Franchise hit back from a one-point deficit at half-time to edge out Saints, 75-72.

Franchise’s Ethan McGhie was the game’s offensive stand-out with 32 points, complemented by teammates Francesco Dainese and Jerome Reid — each with 14 points,

Michael Gardner led Saints’ scoring with 22 points.

A run of three consecutive drawn rounds followed a dramatic round three clash when Saints held off Franchise by a point, 79-78, and CBC beat Olympians, 79-76.

Round seven starts on Thursday night when Saints play Olympians at 8.10pm and Friday’s clash between Franchise and CBC starts at 7.15pm.

Ladder: CBC 16 points; Saints 12; Franchise 10; Olympians 10.
