Thrilled to rock Denmark

Sydney band Caravãna Sun will be bringing their big sounds and energetic stage show to Denmark this weekend.

After releasing a string of singles and a breathtaking film clip for Open Up which was described by Rolling Stone as soul-baring, this four-piece band are now laying their cards on the table with the release of their third studio album Guerrilla Club.

The band will be performing at the Boston Brewery in Denmark promising a set that will engulf listeners with its seamless mix of world-fuelled rebellious surf rock. The band has played more than 500 shows all over the world in the past five years and are now back on home soil and preparing for a massive 22-date national tour, living and breathing what Guerrilla Club is all about — their love for Australia and its culture.

Vocalist and guitarist Luke Carra said the band was born from the love of music, travel and ocean and said they were excited to be heading to WA.

“We’ve just played Caloundra Music Festival the other night which was truly amazing hearing over a thousand people singing all the lyrics to Eye Of The Storm and getting lost in Kimberley inspired Open Up, but we are looking forward to our Denmark show,” he said.

“Denmark has always been a special place in our hearts; from surfing at Lights Beach, playing the markets several years ago and spending weeks off during our tour. Our first single Eye Of The Storm was born out of garage jam in Denmark last year.

“We are all really looking to performing our new album to the legendary Denmark crew.”

Carra said the biggest impact on the band has been connecting with local elders in the Kimberley, which has been the biggest influence on new record Guerrilla Club.

“Each song of this album has a one common thread that binds them together and that’s through our connection to country. Our homeland, Australia has fostered most of these tracks and continues to be a huge inspiration,” he said.

Carra said their audiences in Denmark can expect a fun and vibrant show this weekend, with new music to be heard.

“The best thing about a Denmark show is the family vibes. We love having kids up the front having a mad time moving and singing,” he said.
