The Amazing South Coast?

The Denmark Chamber of Commerce may have inadvertently released the yet-to-be-announced rebranded moniker for the Great Southern region.

In a release discussing tourism in the south coast town, it finished with the Chamber announcing the future being very bright for “The Amazing South Coast”.

The local governments of Albany, Denmark and Plantagenet joined forces to form the Lower Great Southern Economic Alliance earlier this year, to devise a regional destination marketing strategy that would include a rebrand of the ‘Great Southern’.

However, there was expected to be a major media call to announce the preferred name in coming weeks.

A spokesman for the City of Albany could not comment on whether the Denmark Chamber had revealed the preferred name.
