Scorchers a hit with kids

The Perth Scorchers van visited Katanning primary schools last week to encourage students to take up cricket this summer.

Members of the Big Bash League team visited Katanning Primary School and St Patrick’s Primary School to promote the MILO in2CRICKET program with the help of mascot Blaze.

Students were reminded they could join the Katanning Wanderers Cricket Club this season, with both boys and girls encouraged to sign up.

Club registration will be held at the Katanning Show on October 28.

The Big Bash League starts on December 19, with Perth Scorchers’ first match away to the Sydney Sixers at the SCG on December 23.
