A political party spruiking anti-Islamic sentiments will host its first meeting in Albany next month.

The Australian Liberty Alliance will hold the meeting at 3pm on April 2 but would not reveal where it will take place.

The party formed in October and Senate candidate for WA Debbie Robinson said though the conservative Judeo-Christian party has 20 core issues the “Islamisation” of Australia is what they are most concerned about.

“We are not a one issue party but we do believe what is happening in this country with Islamisation is something that is not being address by our current politicians,” she said.

“We are concerned about an ideology that is dangerous to Western society and to our values.

“We are concerned about the way Australia is headed as a national and we feel that our current political leaders are doing a great disservice to this country.

Ms Robinson said the ALA has concerns about the segregation between Muslims and non-Muslims and the influence of the culture, including Halal certification and the potential for Sharia laws.

“Now we believe as Australians you come here you’re welcomed, you integrate, you assimilate and everyone lives by one law.”

Member for O’Connor Rick Wilson said he doesn’t view ALA as a major threat but hopes the party handles their campaign with care.

“I fail to see where they are coming from but provided they conducted from a place with a bit of restraint and a bit of respect, then I don’t have a problem with them airing their point of view,” he said.

“I will defend to the death the right of individual parties to run their campaign, to have their point of view put forward.

“But when it comes to election day people have many more issues on their mind.”

Details on the meeting will be sent to registered participants by email and text message on the day before.
