Controversial politician Pauline Hanson visited Albany today to spruik One Nation party’s WA candidate, Rodney Culleton.

Ms Hanson is in WA for the week to help share her party’s vision of a “united and cohesive country”.

Ms Hanson stopped at theAlbany Advertiser’s office'''' to discuss some of the issues her party believes are important to Australia’s future including immigration, agriculture and the banking system.

“I think a lot of Australians are opposing the increase in refugees, the Greens are proposing calling for a 50,000 increase in refugees,” Ms Hanson said

“We can’t afford it and it will be detrimental to our country, the cost of refugees, and most of them will be in the unemployment cues after five years,”

Mr Culleton is from Williams and has worked in the agricultural industry for 35 years and has run a family farming business for 20 years.

“In Western Australia, country towns are looking very tired, especially the regional centres,” he said

“They could be doing a lot better with revenue, there needs to be more industry placed in those areas and more employment which creates jobs,”

Ms Hansen has had a colourful political career and has often been labelled racist or xenophobic due to her hard line stance on immigration.
