Driver stays overnight in crash truck
A truck driver has escaped serious injury after his truck left the end of Frenchman Bay Road on Tuesday night and ploughed through the scrub before coming to a rest.
The Volvo prime mover sustained substantial damage, and the driver remained in the cab for the rest of the night before being found by a motorist the next morning.
Albany police Sergeant Danny Richmond said police were not sure if the driver was trapped in his truck overnight or whether he decided to stay in the cab.
Sgt Richmond said police were proceeding with the crash by way of infringement.
