On a bowler’s wicket, Railways won the toss and batted, with Zane Marwick again among the runs at the top of the order.

Marwick compiled a nice innings as his partners came and went. He was eventually dismissed on 45 by Don Monley.

Julian Crudeli (25), Tim Edmunds (20), Daniel Macomish (21) and Andrew Sephton (22 not out) helped the Tigers to 7-172.

Peaks’ seamer Kieran Howie (2-25) did the early damage, removing Rhys Donaldson (2) and Matt Clothier (10) while Ryan Kinnear (2-26) picked up Edmunds and Macomish.

Peaks were in early trouble when Brent Sheridan was caught behind for 2. He was soon followed by Dave Goodway for 8.

Struggling at 2-19, Peaks were soon 4-45 when Monley and Kinnear left the crease without reaching double figures.

Youngsters Shayne Wornes (10) and Ethan Drew (15) put on 16 runs but the return of Simon Harvey destroyed Peaks’ hopes.

Harvey (3-18) removed Drew, Chris Flick and Aran Tilbury to leave them 8-90 and, despite a cameo from Warrick Durack (42), Peaks were all out for 120, ending their four-game winning streak.

A terrific five-wicket haul from Collingwood Park swing bowler Grant Freeborough has left Denmark winless at the foot of the ACA table. Park won their encounter by 93 runs.

Freeborough finished with 5-30 after tearing through the Magpies’ middle order as they attempted to chase down 222.

Luke Ellison (42) and Brett Dell (20) provided the only strong resistance for the Magpies in their total of 128.

Batting first, Ben Wrobel made a half century while Russell Hare (43) and Hayden Burling (35) pushed the score to 9-221 for Park.
