The new Orana Coles has created more than 80 new jobs as it officially opens tomorrow.

Among the 80 new staff are five indigenous recruits, two of whom successfully completed a Worklink-LWG Training and Southern Aboriginal Corporation retail training program earlier this year.

Coles WA manager Neil Lake said the supermarket was thrilled to be able to create more jobs in regional WA.

"We're particularly pleased to welcome five indigenous team members as part of our focus on creating strong connections with Albany's indigenous community," he said.

Manager of the new Orana Coles John Craven-Kelly said the store was focused on local community involvement.

"We have hired local bakers, butchers and tradespersons plus new local team members," he said.

"We've welcomed around 80 new members to the team and 20 existing Coles team members have transferred from other stores, so we have around 100 team members who are ready and raring to go for opening day.

"There will also be future employment opportunities because as we grow we will need to hire new people."

The store on Albany Highway will open at 8am tomorrow.
