A 35-year-old Albany man has been left traumatised after he was assaulted and robbed at knifepoint by four people on Saturday night.

Albany detectives have charged a 53-year-old man and 28-year-old woman but two other men remain at large.

Detectives allege the victim went to the 53-year-old man’s home in Ardross Crescent, Collingwood Park, on Saturday night and was assaulted and threatened with a knife inside the home.

Police allege he was then ordered to drive to his home in Yakamia and held at knifepoint in front of his wife, where the offenders stole $500 cash, a laptop and his 2007 silver Nissan Navara.

Detective Sergeant Todd White said the victim had gone to the house with another person on “good terms” to collect some property before the situation escalated.

“Both the victim and his wife are pretty shaken up as you can imagine,” he said.

“They are currently at a location where they are safe and we are just appealing to members of the public to provide us information.”

The victim required hospital treatment for facial bruising and abrasions along with a suspected fractured cheekbone.

The 53-year-old man and 28-year-old woman, both known to the victim, have been charged with aggravated armed assault with intent to rob, deprivation of liberty, aggravated armed robbery and threats to kill.

The woman was bailed to appear in Albany Magistrate’s Court on December 24, while the man was set to appear in court today in custody.

Detectives are appealing to the public to help identify and locate two other men.

One is described as having a dark complexion, about 191cm tall, with a solid build, shaved and short hair and tattoos covering his face, side of his head and chest area.

The second man is described as having a brown complexion, about 175cm tall, neatly dressed wearing a grey shiny long sleeve jacket or shirt, a blue baseball cap and his hair gelled neatly backwards.

The two men were last seen driving away in the victims’ 2007 silver Nissan Navara utility.

Det Sgt White said members of the public are not advised to approach the men as they are believed to be armed and any information should be directed to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
