Gnowangerup Sergeant Randall Moulden will be among the fallen police officers honoured at a National Police Remembrance Day service near Katanning next week.

Katanning police have invited members of the public to join commemorations which are set to start at 10am on Wednesday, September 29, at Police Pools.

Attending the ceremony will be Katanning Senior Sergeant Carlos Correia, who said it was a chance to pause and pay tribute to fallen colleagues.

“National Police Remembrance Day commemorates police officers from all Australian police services who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the community,” Sen. Sgt Correia said.

“It is a day for police to pause to honour officers whose lives have been cut short while performing their duty and to also remember those police officers who have lost their lives through illness or other circumstances.”
