KNA 2024: Kojonup shine on A1 return from association championships, NetSet and Go Juniors on the rise
The Katanning Netball Association returned with a bang on Saturday after last weekend’s 2024 Fuel To Go & Play Association Championships in Perth.
The onset of winter weather and colder days did not deter the NetSet and Go Juniors from energetically kicking off the fixtures.
Braving the chilly start to the morning the strong little players, showcased the array of skills they have been learning at training.
After round five, these young kids are really upping their skills and creating a strong team bond in their teams on the court.
Juniors amped up their game this week with each team working very hard to secure higher positions on the ladder.
Almost halfway through the season and teams are already gelling with such strong gameplay.
Round six of the senior competition had everyone rearing to go after the break.
The A1 was highlighted by a Kojonup clean sweep, beginning with Kojonup 2 squaring off against Cardinals Force.
Kojonup pushed through with a bit more force than Cardinals, to notch a 42-37 win.
Olympians 1 put their foot down instantly against Te Taitonga 1.
Managing a nice buffer early on, Olympians held it together, winning 45-32.
Kojonup 1 had a hard contest against Allstars 1, however they managed to pull in the win with a strong 53-46 result.
A2 had ladder leaders Broomehill get a little worried with Allstars 2 on their tail.
In a fairly low-scoring game compared to previous rounds, Broomehill powered to a 39-30 triumph to tighten their grip on top spot.
Dumbleyung chalked up another win on their tally against Te Taitonga 2, 45-34.
Cardinals Fever finally managed to pick themselves up off the bottom of the ladder with a 31-23 win over Olympians 2.
A3 had both Kojonup teams keep up with their sister teams, also winning.
Playing against Cardinals Phoenix, Kojonup 4 had a great start increasing their margin each quarter to take a 52-30 victory.
Kojonup 3 also followed suit, creating themselves a strong lead against Allstars 3. Kojonup left victorious with a score of 55-23.
