A pet dog has been found by police, three days after being lured from her owner’s garden by thieves.

Nollamara resident Kristen Forsyth was heartbroken when Dahla, her beloved Teacup Pomeranian, went missing.

But when she checked her CCTV camera, she saw something that broke her heart.

The CCTV footage shows a car pull up in front of Ms Forsyth’s house, where 12-year-old Dahla was playing.

Two people get out of the vehicle and reach out for the incredibly cute pet before picking her up and driving away.

“Watching your dog being picked up and put in a car by a stranger is gut wrenching,” Ms Forsyth said.

“To think that someone would steal a dog is a low, disgusting act.

“I’ve had her since she was a puppy and my heart is broken that a stranger feels he had the right to take her away from me.”

Ms Forsyth pleaded with social media users to find Dahla and, to her delight, police were able to track her down.

“I'm so happy that she's home back where she belongs, in her own bed tonight and I'm just excited to get home and see her,” she told 7NEWS.

Police say one person is assisting them with their investigation.
