Young gun Jack Panizza tops points at Albany City Kart Club’s September meeting to win Valvoline Challenge

Young driver Jack Panizza has claimed the Valvoline Challenge after a stellar performance at the Albany City Kart Club on Sunday.

Panizza finished with the maximum points at the September club meeting, a perfect day in the cadet 9 category returning 1445 points.

That was enough to win the Valvoline Challenge as the highest-point-scoring driver on the day.

Cody Colmer, Glen Treloar and Peter Diprose all finished equal second with 1409 points while Jake Jurgielewicz was next with 1373.

Panizza topped the points in his division, defeating Percy Coleman (1265 points) and Blaze Beever (1105).

In the KA3 junior light division Colmer was too strong for William Panizza (1137) and Grady Crofts (1048).

Diprose claimed top honours in the KA3 senior medium class, downing Ron Norder (1301) while Ben Norder (1341) proved too strong in the KA3 senior light division for Harrison Burns (1305) and Shane Burns (1169).

Treloar took overall honours in the tag 125 restricted medium category to defeat Diprose (1048) and Peter Apostoles (221).

In the highly competitive tag 125 restricted light field, Jurgielewicz was too strong for James Campbell (1210) and Tim Ball (1119).

The cadet 12 division was won by Alexander Hills with 1409 points from Oscar Coleman (1301) and Ben Keen (1051).
