Whales spotted off Bremer Bay

The first whale of the season has been spotted off the coast of Bremer Bay was reported near Short Beach today.

Local Landscape Ecologist Nathan McQuoid spotted the massive animal from his kitchen window off the southern end of Short Beach.

He said that the last whales to pass along that section are usually around late August.
