Whales make a splash

Humpbacks and southern right whales were in plentiful numbers at the weekend, with more than 10 spotted in King George Sound.

On Friday morning, a mother and calf southern right were frolicking just 200m off Middleton Beach, much to the delight of onlookers.

On Saturday and Sunday onlookers were treated to several sightings in King George Sound, Princess Royal Harbour and off The Gap.
