A terrific field of drivers will do battle for the 2024 Super Sedan WA Title at Mt Barker’s Les Gorman Park this weekend.

On the back of the National Super Sedan Title held in Albany last weekend, a field of 25 competitors will take to the Great Southern venue which is hosting the WA title for the second time.

The event will be a twilight meeting and will include races under lights.

It will be one of the most hotly contested State titles in recent history, with 19 of the 25 drivers backing up from the national title down the road.

Defending champion Dustin Higgs, fresh off his second placing to 2024 National Super Sedan Title winner Darren Kane, will be one of the favourites in the event.

Dustin Higgs will be out to retain the crown he won in Bunbury in March last year but faces some stiff competition.

His father Gary Higgs is a three-time WA champion, while Keith Higgs (2003) and Matt Pascoe (2017) are also former winners.

Brad Pascoe is a dual State champion, holding the Tasmania and Queensland titles, and his brother Zac was successful in the recent South East Open in Esperance.

Victorians Ash Bergmeier and Mick Nicola Snr will also be among the interstate flavour in the race.

Tristan Green has been runner-up at the past two WA titles and will be hoping for a better run that that at the national title, while Mt Barker trio Rob Knox, Nathan Thiele and Bryce Fisher have also entered.

Official practice will be held from 4-6pm on Friday before racing starts at 3pm Saturday.
