Trio charged with burglary
Three Albany men have been charged after they allegedly went on a burglary spree in Denmark.
The string of incidents happened between 1am and 3am on Friday, November 29.
Denmark police allege the men, aged 19 to 21, stole food and bicycles from Rivermouth Caravan Park before driving to Denmark Country Club and later Boston Brewery.
“They jumped through the roof of the (Denmark Country Club) shed which contained golf buggies, grabbed a couple of them out and went for a bit of a joyride up the highway,” a Denmark police spokesman alleged.
“One of them made it as far as the Boston Brewery and rammed the buggy into the metal gate.”Police officers arrested the men later that day.
All three men were charged with trespassing, burglary, stealing and damage offences.
They are set to face Albany Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, December 12.
Police are yet to recover the stolen bikes and golf clubs.
