Three young locals are spreading joy around the globe from Toyworld Albany after their TikTok account went viral.

Byron Smith, Sydney Daymond and Lizzie Hodgkinson created an account on the video-sharing app in May to promote positivity and toys.

In five months, the trio has built a following of more than 66,000 people with some of their videos attracting more than one million views.

Their TikTok journey started when Sydney taught Byron a trending dance routine.

“I enjoyed it a lot, so we came up with the idea at a birthday party back in May to make a group account promoting Toyworld and bonding as a team,” Byron said.

Each week the group creates videos in the store based on questions from their followers, TikTok trends or original ideas.

The three met at work for the first time and quickly became friends.

They never expected their TikTok fun to “blow up”.

Byron has worked at Toyworld Albany since 2016, while Sydney has worked there for three years, and Lizzie arrived in November.

The team is encouraging other businesses to step outside their comfort zones, have fun and spread positivity.
