Albany has three new State champions after 17 members of the Albany Mountain Bike Club competed in the WA State Gravity Enduro Mountain Bike Championships at Goat Farm in Greenmount, Perth last month.

Corben Weinert was Albany’s most outstanding competitor at the event, winning all seven stages to be crowned the new State champ after he finished first overall in the under-19 male category.

Weinert’s times were so impressive he would have placed third in the elite men’s field.

Sophie Adeline made it a winning double in the under-19 category, after she took out first place in the female division.
