Sue Bassett throws her Santa hat into the ring for the 2021 Albany Christmas Lights Competition
By the time entries opened for the 2021 Albany Christmas Lights Competition on Tuesday, Sue Bassett was already brimming with festive cheer.
Her home in McKail has been lit up in the colours of Christmas since mid-November.
And now her neighbours are getting in on the act.
Ms Bassett was one of the first entrants in this year’s competition.
The winner is set to receive a hamper worth $250 and an official winner’s certificate signed by City of Albany Mayor Dennis Wellington.
Ms Bassett’s front garden is packed with reindeer, snowmen, candy canes, and even a couple of glittering kangaroos.
The main attractions are an inflatable Father Christmas and a giant Christmas tree.
It is a thoroughly festive display and very easy on the eye, but is it the winner in waiting?
For anyone out there who has a passion for making their home light up with Christmas joy, this is your time to shine.
Join in the fun and throw your Santa hat in the ring.
