Stabbed pelican released after treatment

A pelican found with a large knife stabbed in its side has been released after veterinarians treated it yesterday.

The bird had been evading authorities for a week after it was spotted with the knife in it near Denmark River three weeks ago.

Authorities has finally managed to capture the bird yesterday and took the knife out of its neck before it was released in Denmark.
