Southern Smash: Fixtures revealed ahead of huge 2023 Southern Smash tournament

Just days out from the start of the 2023 Southern Smash the fixtures have been revealed.

The fifth edition of regional WA’s premier T20 competition starts next week.

The three-round tournament kicks off with six games on Friday, December 29 with each team playing games at 11am and 3pm before their final qualifying game is played at 11am on Saturday, December 30.

The top two teams will then face off in the grand final on Saturday starting at 3.30pm.

Round one has Inswing Ignition, who are looking to make it four titles in a row, facing Camtrans Bulldogs who will be without young star batsman Corey Wasley.

Elders Avengers, bolstered by WA contracted player and local paceman Bryce Jackson, take on last year’s runners-up Arc Infrastructure Aces while WA Country XI vice-captain Nathan Crudeli’s Retravision Warriors take on Albany Finance Fury.

The Fury will be hoping to rise up the ladder, strengthened by the addition of No.1 pick Will Bosisto.

The under-21 competition will again feature its curtain-raiser game the afternoon before the main Smash competition kicks off and will play the second game at 6pm on December 29.
