Rovers jump to third on Albany Junior Soccer Association ladder after hard-fought win over Stirling Rangers

Rovers have moved to third spot on the Albany Junior Soccer Association under-14s ladder following their spirited 3-1 victory over Stirling Rangers in round 10 on Saturday. Rovers made it two straight wins after their impressive 2-0 triumph over Polonia White last week. They are currently sitting on six wins and four losses with five rounds left to play in the AJSA season. Polonia Red are firmly on top of the table, having won all nine of their matches this season and are two games ahead of Denmark, who boast a record of seven wins and two losses. Meanwhile in the under-18s competition Great Southern Griffins denied Rovers Black of their first win, holding on to record a 1-all draw. Stirling Rangers thumped the lowly Rovers Gold 7-1 while Polonia moved to equal points with John Calvin after their thrilling 2-1 win over the same side. Undefeated ladder-leaders Albany Bayswater had the bye. In the under-15s competition, Albany Caledonian are yet to register a win after their heavy 15-0 loss to Polonia on Saturday. Elsewhere, Denmark prevailed over John Calvin with a terrific 5-3 victory.
