New voices invited to join Albany Singability music program
A free singing program helping people with disability find their voice is set to return next month after a successful first year.
New faces are welcome at Community Living Association’s weekly Singability program, open to people with disability 16 years and over and led by experienced choir director Teresa Hughes.
CLA chief executive Russell Nelson said the organisation was excited to bring the all abilities singing program back for another year with support from Lotterywest.
“Singability is an exciting program which has been successful in providing real opportunities for connection and community participation,” he said.
“Last year the group performed as part of the Christmas Festival in the Town Square. Participating in such a large community event was a highlight for the choir.”
Singability workshops will return on May 2 at Community Living Association’s Centre for Excellence from 1.30pm to 3pm.
Registrations are required and can be made at mycla.org.au or by calling Claudia Simpson on 9842 3855.
