Lucky escape for woman who suffered minor injuries after crashing into a tree on gravel road in Big Grove

A woman has escaped serious injury after her car left a gravel road and rolled into a tree in Big Grove on Monday morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene about 7am, after reports a woman in her 60s was trapped in her crashed car on Humphrey Road, just off Frenchman Bay Road. Firefighters, police and St John WA attended the crash. A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the driver’s side door was trapped against the tree and firefighters helped move the vehicle so the woman could free herself. St John WA transported the woman, who had minor injuries, to Albany Health Campus at normal road speed.
