Rising Denmark surfer Isi Campbell will compete at the national titles for the first time after booking her place on the WA surfing team following the third and final round of the WA Junior Surfing Titles at Flat Rocks in Geraldton last month.

Campbell, the young sister of former national shortboard champion Emi, reached the four-person final in the under-14 grom girls’ division in the last round held on July 21.

She scored 7.7 in the final to be third, behind winner and State champion Ruby Berry (12.15 score) and Willow Hardy (10.75).

That effort was enough for Campbell to finished third overall in the State under-14 rankings, booking her first-ever place on the WA team.

The talented young surfer also finished sixth in the under-16 cadet girls’ series standings.

Campbell will now represent WA at the Australian Junior Surfing Titles, to be held in Margaret River in December.
