Experienced development officer Jaxon Liddelow is excited to be in the region after taking over the WA Football Commission Great Southern regional development specialist earlier this month.

Liddelow has replaced former development officer Matt Bishop who earned praise for his performance.

The passionate young administrator started this month and is looking forward to getting involved in the football community in the Great Southern Football League, Ongerup Football Association, Southern Districts Junior Football Association and Ravensthorpe and Districts Football Association.

He will run football clinics, conduct school visits, help run football carnivals, develop football in the region and assist academies and programs.

“I’m chuffed to be down here in the country after coming from the city,” he said.

“As a young bloke I hope to bring a new perspective to football in the region.

“I want to imply a mixture of city and country to help develop football across the Great Southern.

“I want to learn everything about football in the region and then learn from that and help improve it.”

Liddelow became the East Fremantle development officer in 2019 and before that was the community development officer for East and South Fremantle Football Districts in 2018 after receiving a traineeship with those two clubs in 2017.
